Hey guys.

I'm not too sure how to go on about this, but my mum was in a serious car accident yesterday. She lost control of her ute at 100kph and ran off into a tree. Her foot got caught under the pedal., and the dash was pushed right up. She's alright, she's sporting a chipped leg, a bruised chest and lacerations, and stitches in her head.
I've taken two weeks off to care for her as it's difficult for her to get around. (Though, she's digging her crutches! And I need to attack her cast with markers :D)
Mum's in good spirits, though super sore. She's taking this "break" as an opportunity to learn the internet and computers which is pretty rad of her.

Ute
The work ute. It's a write off. The bonnet's been pushed right up, smooshed. The tree didn't come out much better.

Take care guys.

Soooo I'm thinking of going all out and purchasing a virus/spyware/malware/whateverthefuckelseisoutthereware scanner. I had a nice brush with a keylogger today, needless to say I'm ticked. I want the one program to handle the lot, as free editions of avg, or adaware or whatever only seem to cover the one thing that they each specialize in, and I don't want 23 different programs all running in the background at the same time. Right now I'm using free versions of the before mentioned programs, AVG's been really good for the most part.

What are you guys using for protection? Have you brought your net security? Are you a free user? Any suggestions?

Hey guys!

Got a Graphire 3 I'd like to get rid of. It's the smaller version with a working size of 4x5inches. (That little square bit in the middle of the device we actually draw on) It's got some scratches, but it works super.

TabletSale TabletScratchesCloseup

$40 including shipping around Australia. International + $10. (It's actually $20ish, though I'll cover part of the shipping this way, since Australia Post are money hungry grubs when it comes to international postage)

Spanks! 8D!

At the last second I agreed to go to my work's awards night this weekend. It's a semi formal occasion, and we get to dress up. The theme is B.W.T, which are the intials of my workplace. So now I have to dress up as something from those letters.

I was thinking Bambi, and having a tan dress whilst painting myself up with deer spots, though I'd probably omit the nose and keep the wee ears and tail. I'm terrible with body paint however and I'm super worried that it would irriate my eyes/skin (I'd paint some spots my shoulders) and basically look terrible. The idea is terribly cute however so I'm rather torn as to what to do.

Any suggestions for a dress up?

We've had a painter here for the last 3 or so hours and the place reeks of house paint. I'm pretty sure some of my braincells have died, I feel so spaced out. At least the sharehouse is going to look great after this! Clay also went out yesterday and brought a massive Samsung wide screen telly, so we all feel fancy now. ^^;;; It's so wierd going from chunky box tvs to something so sleek and slim. The room actually feels larger without the bulk, it's pretty awesome.

Now about computers, my 5 or so year old work PC is starting to become cluttered and I was wondering how reliable external harddrives are. I've had friends who have had theirs die within a year or purchase, (multiple friends o_o;) so could anybody vouch for particular brands? I'm completely clueless about these kinds of things, I need somebody to show me the way! I'd like to be able to back stuff up, and clean out the work PC. I'll also be backing up on CDs.

Apart from that, it's all work, work, work around here. If it's not being at the workplace, it's at home either putting together paintings for school or commission work. Min will be up in less than 12 days for my birthda!y! :D So excited! Two whole weeks, christ we're going to be so sick of each other by the end of this x3! (ilu) And Tim'll be up for a trip to Cairns, nom nom nom. *sits on* ;3 I friggen love birthdays!

(People should art for me birrfffday. Stick men, I don't care! I recently brought a pin board, and it needs art!)

Peace!

Oh Friday, I'm glad to have you off from work this week. Will's gone away for two weeks and for the most part I have been filling his shifts. It's been a busy week, so I'm glad to have both today and tomorrow off (Thanks to swapping a shift with Jhenai) Tonight will be spent enjoying beers, finishing a marker commission and toying around with figurine ideas for class.

My doll collection suddenly grew bigger! My Soom Glot named Chartreuse (The colour, or liquer, take your pick), arrived yesterday morning. She's roughly 10 inches tall, and I think Cheshire and Bao have some kind of height complex. Chartreuse will be modified into a feathered dragon (Similar to that of Bory and Ry) and two guesses on her colour scheme. :3 (Not this one, the paint job on the photo was done by her previous owner)

Doom Glot

I'm glad to have her, there was much humming and ohing when Glot and Glati were released and due to funds at the time I let her go. I found Chartreuse for quite cheaply on DoA and I knew I couldn't let the opportunity pass by again. Since this picture she's had all her paint removed and has been restrung. Her limbs are still quite clicky so they'll need to be sueded and wired and to create the dragon mod I'll need to sculpt a tail, another set of horns, some feathering on her arms, her hooves modified into claws and a pair of small feathered wings. She'll be a huge project and if it goes well, the knowledge gathered will be transferred to the likes of Bory.

So the dolly list is growing smaller thankfully. The list now stands as so:

Soom Heliot - On layaway
Soom Bygg - On layaway
Pipos Robin - Now... This one is a dream. There were only 50 or so ever released.
Pipos Crazy Cheshire
Luts Lio (The Duke)
Luts Lio (The Pirate)
Fairyland PukiPuki (Cupid)
Fairyland PukiPuki (ChiChi)

Guess I'll need to take on more commission work! Haha! My first can of MSC came in the mail today so finally I can start painting the kids I have. (Testors Dullcoat really sucks!) It's been forever since I've had to work out any kind of character colour scheme, so it'll be fun.
Over time as more BJD posts pop up, I'll start creating post filters. :) I know some of you guys aren't so much into dolls, so I'll spare you! I am fully intent on creating this into an art journal, so the more projects the better.

That's it from me, hope everybody is doing well. :) I'll leave you guys with some art pretties I received recently, because art is great! (Click to make bigger)
